Mukamuka Munter — Fixture Card
Date: 15 August 2026 Registration: From 07:30 — Catchpool Centre & Community Emergency Hub Start: 09:00 — Wainuiomata Coast, Beach Access Carpark Race Briefing: 08:45 at the start line
Travel, Parking & Logistics
Note: It’s a 10 km drive between the registration/finish line (Catchpool) and the start line (Coast). Allow plenty of travel time, particularly if you’re coming from Wellington.
Ample parking is available at both the start and Catchpool Centre.
To help with congestion, please carpool where you can — team up with other runners before race day. If you’d like to meet other entrants, consider arriving at registration earlier.
Warm clothing and other belongings can be left at the Catchpool Centre — volunteers will look after them until the race has finished.
What to Bring

- Wear your best trail shoes — expect wet, slippery, technical river travel and mud

Course Information
Point-to-point: South Coast → Catchpool Centre
- Route map: PDF
- GPX file: download — load onto NZ Topo Maps on a fully charged phone before race day
- Course marking is limited; marshals will be at safety-critical points only
⚠ Weather contingency: if conditions are unfavourable, the race may be cancelled or switched to a B-Course avoiding river crossings, we’ll know such in advance following the river levels. Confirmation will be sent out the the day prior with the updated B-Course GPX or at Strava.

No Dogs
No dogs allowed. The course borders the sensitive Turekihae Head Scientific Reserve (NZ Largest Fur Seal Colony), kiwi-zone, and stock is present. Thanks to the Wharekauhau Station landowners for allowing access across their land during calving.
Timing
Manual timing, with splits at:
- Mukamuka Corner
- South Saddle
Make sure marshals can read your bib number and have noted your time.

Volunteers
Our events only happen because of an awesome crew of volunteers giving up their time. If you can no longer race but can help out instead, flick us an email.
